This not only clears the space you can work with, but it also allows you to match these tiles with other ones as well. But be careful, because each time you move the tiles to create matches, all of the pieces move in that same direction. Basically, you get a new board configuration every move you make.
Also, each swipe you make will create a brand new tile, so be aware of this, because the space is limited on the board, and the new tile will always be one with the lowest number possible and, as you advance through 2048 Legend and the tiles get a higher value, it will become increasingly difficult to manage the tiles with low digits, and eliminate the ones with a higher value. The better you play, the more difficult the game becomes. But even if you do lose, you can try again to beat your score.
